Except when Allie King and Sassafras Flowers is involved, then gorgeous blooms can be found in abundance in December, too!
I’ve known Allie for years. In fact, she made my corsage for high school prom more than 10 years ago! It’s been a joy to watch her business grow (as well as her sweet family... have you seen their beautiful addition? Third time’s the charm baby boy!), and when Evan and I decided on Knoxville for the wedding destination, Allie was the first call I made.
She is a dream to work with. Beyond her bubbly, yet relaxed personality, Allie “got” me. She made me feel confident in every design concept I requested, and each off-the-wall idea was met without hesitation and executed beautifully:
And all of these were before she got to the table arrangements which still make me grin when I think of how they brought the entire room together, not only the wedding night, but when we reused them for New Year’s Eve!
I am always in awe of the talented florist I work with from across the southeast, the work that goes into their craft is so much greater than simply arranging stems. It’s business. It’s labor. It’s art. From product purchasing and delivery timing, to the physical weight of the arrangements they build, to standing on ladders and suspending hang points, to delicately opening blooms: it is impressive. Not to mention they’re bringing a client's vision to life; carefully designing from inspiration pictures found on Pinterest that don’t take into account seasonality and have been staged, edited, lit from 100 angles, aren’t viewed from the back, etc.
Allie’s talent is among the best, but what makes her THE BEST is her genuine passion to love others. It is seen in her staff, in her family, and in her business. She loves her work, and as a client, you feel loved.
Allie, it was a treat to have you be a part of my wedding day, but it’s an honor to be your friend always. Thank you for making this little girl's dreams come true!
